Conveyor Impact Beds are heavy-duty belt support and impact protection systems designed for conveyor loading and transfer points. Manufactured by Hebei Jingxian Huamei Mining Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd., these impact beds provide continuous support beneath the conveyor belt while absorbing the impact generated when bulk materials fall onto the belt.
Unlike conventional impact idlers, an impact bed uses a continuous support structure with impact-absorbing components, helping distribute loads over a wider area. It is particularly suitable for heavy-duty conveying systems handling coal, ore, rock, limestone, aggregates, and other bulk materials.
Effective Impact Protection
At transfer points, materials may fall from hoppers, chutes, feeders, or upstream conveyors, creating concentrated impact forces. Repeated impact can cause belt deformation, excessive vibration, belt damage, and premature wear if the loading area is not adequately supported.
The impact bed uses resilient cushioning elements to absorb and distribute impact energy. This helps reduce concentrated forces transferred to the conveyor belt and frame, providing effective protection against impact damage and improving belt service life.
Continuous Belt Support
The impact bed provides continuous support across the material loading zone, reducing the gaps commonly found between individual rollers. This helps prevent excessive belt sag and maintains a stable belt profile under heavy material loads.
Continuous support can also improve material containment at transfer points. By keeping the belt properly supported, the system helps reduce material spillage and the risk of material becoming trapped beneath the belt.
Low-Friction Sliding Surface
The upper impact bars are manufactured from low-friction and wear-resistant materials that allow the conveyor belt to slide smoothly across the supporting surface.
This design provides a practical balance between impact absorption and belt movement. The replaceable support bars can be serviced independently when required, helping simplify maintenance and reduce conveyor downtime.
